The Government of the Republic of Mauritius and the French Republic signed the “Partenariat Hubert Curien Le Réduit (PHC Le Réduit)” on July 18, 2019. It constitutes a privileged instrument of bilateral scientific cooperation between the Republic of Mauritius and the French Republic. It is in line with the objectives of the Mauritian Government of transforming the island into a ‘knowledge hub’, by allowing Mauritian researchers to join the international scientific community through innovative research projects of strategic importance for the country.
This agreement aims to boost research in Mauritius through the mobility of researchers between the two countries. This is done through an operational mechanism intended to promote the emergence of joint research partnerships.
